Mepitel® is a soft silicone wound contact layer designed for fragile and sensitive wounds. It adheres gently to dry, healthy skin but does not stick to the wound bed, supporting atraumatic dressing changes with less pain and trauma. The open mesh design allows wound fluid to pass through into a secondary absorbent dressing while protecting new tissue and maintaining a moist healing environment.
Suitable for wounds with moderate to high exudate, and also protective use on low-exudate wounds when paired with a secondary dressing. Mepitel can stay in place for up to 14 days, allowing secondary dressings to be changed without disturbing the wound.
