Orajel Maximum Strength PM Toothache & Gum Relief Paste provides fast, targeted temporary relief of oral pain caused by minor irritation or injury of the mouth and gums. Its maximum-strength formula contains 20% benzocaine to numb and relieve dental pain and 0.15% zinc chloride as an oral astringent for gum irritation.

Designed as a nighttime formula, Orajel PM also contains chamomile and can be applied directly to the affected area before bed when tooth or gum pain is causing discomfort.

For toothache, this product is intended only as a temporary measure until a dentist can be consulted. The 5.3g tube also features a Ready-Open Tube Tip for convenient access.

Orajel Maximum Strength PM is intended for the temporary relief of oral pain associated with minor irritation or injury of the mouth and gums.

For toothache, it should only be used as a temporary pain-relief measure until you are able to consult a dentist.

Adults & Ages 12+

Apply a pea-sized amount of the product to the affected area.

• Use up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a physician or healthcare provider
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage
• Do not eat for 1 hour after application
• Do not chew food or gum while numbness persists
• Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a healthcare provider

Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Allergy Alert: Do not use if you have a history of an allergic reaction to benzocaine or any ingredient in this product. Discontinue use if hypersensitivity or an allergic reaction occurs.

Stop using the product and consult a healthcare provider if:

• Swelling, rash or fever develops
• Irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens
• Symptoms do not improve within 7 days
• Weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing, or blue-coloured lips or nail beds develop

The last group of symptoms may indicate methemoglobinemia, a rare but serious condition that may appear up to 2 hours after use and requires prompt medical attention.

Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. In case of overdose or an allergic reaction, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre immediately.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Do not use if the Tamper-Evident Tab is open before first use.
