The MedSpec Suede Thumb Support is a low-profile brace designed to help stabilize the thumb during daily activities. It is commonly used for de Quervain’s tendonitis, thumb sprains, and support after cast removal or surgery. The brace immobilizes the MP and CMC joints while still allowing comfortable movement of the wrist and fingers.
The support is made from perforated suede with a polypropylene felt liner. This design allows moisture to move away from the skin, helping keep the thumb area cooler and more comfortable. An anatomically contoured aluminum stay provides firm support while maintaining a natural hand position.
The patented V-Strap system makes the brace easy to apply. The “V” formed by the elastic strap prevents the closure from slipping out of place. Dual thumb straps—an inner elastic strap and an outer closure strap—work together to create a secure fit.
